- Omada has over 100,000 people enrolled in its CDC-recognized National Diabetes Prevention Program. Omada's behavioral health service helps people prevent chronic conditions. The company’s program has shown to have a positive impact across underserved populations as well as seniors and veterans, and it will be available to Medicare beneficiaries in 2018. (6/14/17)
- AbilTo creates behavior change programs to help people regain balance in their emotional health and well-being. Sessions are delivered by professional therapists and coaches – privately and one-on-one – via phone or video chat.

- Noom's virtual diabetes prevention program will become a reimbursable Medicare benefit in 2018. (4/17/17)
- Rush University Medical Center offers online asynchronous "e-visits" via text messaging. The web-based application from Bright.md makes it possible for patients to choose an electronic consultation with a physician who will determine a diagnosis and treatment plan that may include prescriptions. The visits are for minor issues, such as bladder infection, burn or sunburn, cough, cold and allergy, ear pain, flu and rashes, sinus issues and sore throat. (4/5/17)
